The 2012 Riverfest Festival to be held on September 7th and 8th

RiverFest 2012Clarksville, TN – Join the City of Clarksville, Budweiser, and Agero along the banks of the Cumberland River as they celebrate Clarksville’s river heritage at the 25th annual Riverfest Celebration, September 7th and 8th, 2012. This FREE, two day music and arts festival features four stages of a variety of local, regional and nationally-known entertainers, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.

The music kicks off Friday night at 5:00pm with a great lineup of Christian performers on the Mary’s the Music Store Stage to include MIKESCHAIR who will perform at 9:00pm. Eliminator and Little Queen will take to the Bud Light Stage on Friday night, followed by the ultimate Journey tribute band, Chain Reaction.

Clarksville Downtown Market moving to McGregor Park’s RiverWalk North Extension

Clarksville Downtown MarketClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Downtown Market is moving! Since it’s opening in 2008, the market has grown in popularity; so much so that it has outgrown its current location at One Public Square.

In order to allow for continual growth, the market will move to the North Extension of McGregor Park’s RiverWalk beginning Saturday, July 7th, 2012.

“As the market grows we are constantly faced with logistical challenges with our current location,” said Matthew Nixon, Manager of the Clarksville Downtown Market. [Read more]

LEAP OrganizationClarksville, TN – Tuesday, December 13th, the Kleeman Community Center was filled with hopeful children awaiting Santa Claus to grace them with an early appearance.

The program was organized by Kleeman Community Center Director Tonya Wacker, who had this to say, “It’s unfortunate for some members of our community that this will be the only taste of Christmas they will be able to experience. My desire is to spread hope and holiday cheer to uplift their spirits.”

Join the City of Clarksville and US Bank as we celebrate Christmas on the Cumberland’s 13th year with a grand opening ceremony, November 22nd at 6:30pm at McGregor Park’s RiverWalk.

The grand opening will feature the official lighting of the Cumberland by Mayor Kim McMillan along with special guests, Channel 4 News Snowbird, and the jolly old man himself- Santa Claus!

This free, two day music and arts festival features four stages of a variety of local, regional and nationally-known entertainers, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.

The music kicks off at 5:00pm, Friday, with a great lineup of Christian performers on the Mary’s the Music Store Stage to include Britt Nicole who will perform at 9:00pm. Ekoh, Black Market Research and UZoo – The Authentic U2 Tribute Band Experience will take to the Bud Light Stage on Friday night, followed by the ultimate Journey tribute band, Chain Reaction.
