Free Yoga on the Courthouse Lawn

Montgomery County, TN – Join us for a free Yoga Flow class on the Courthouse Lawn on Saturday, May 16th at 9:30am. Susan Nicholson, ACSM, will provide a 45 minute class fitting for all fitness levels and all ages.
The class will be held on the Third Street side of the Courthouse. Bring a yoga mat or small blanket and join in the fun!

Montgomery County Government creates Community Web Stie for Veterans, Service Members and their Families

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government has created the Veterans Network of Care, a breakthrough Web solution for individuals, families and agencies concerned with veterans’ issues.
A kick off event is scheduled for 2:00pm, April 24th at the William O. Beach Civic Hall, located at 350 Pageant Lane, Clarksville, TN. For more information call 931.648.8482.

Montgomery County Food Drive hosted by County Government and Legends Bank

Montgomery County, TN – The holidays are quickly approaching and it’s the time of year when many in our community need assistance.
As part of the Mayor’s proclamation declaring November to be Homeless Awareness Month, Montgomery County Government is partnering with Legends Bank to host a county-wide food drive.
All county offices and Legends Bank locations will be collecting non-perishable food items beginning Monday, November 3rd and going through the month of November. [Read more]
Montgomery County to get multimodal general purpose Port

Montgomery County, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) recently selected a proposal from the Montgomery County Port Authority, an Authority created by Montgomery County Government, for funding under the federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) program.
The Cumberland River Regional Waterway Facility will expand a single-purpose terminal into a multimodal general purpose port with connections to rail and highway systems on the Cumberland River in Montgomery County. [Read more]
Montgomery County Clerk’s Office Plans Temporary Move for Office Renovation

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Clerk’s Office will be temporarily relocated within Veterans Plaza while their office undergoes renovation.
On Friday, September 12th, the County Clerk’s Office, including the drive through, will be closed to the public to facilitate the move.
The office will reopen to the public on Monday, September 15th at its temporary location of 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 406. This is the site of the former Career Center office and only two doors down from the current location.
Montgomery County recognizes Lisa McClain for Dedication to Community Education

Lisa was recognized for her exemplary work ethic and performance, along with her commitment and dedication of child passenger safety education and on her efforts to reduce fatalities and injuries on Tennessee highways.
Clarksville Regional Airport announces Apron Improvements

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Regional Airport (KCKV) announced it has completed the bid selection for a $3.2 million apron improvements package that will greatly expand the airport’s accessibility and aircraft parking capabilities.
The improvements include a completely reconstructed apron area with two new helicopter landing pads, a new tie down area supporting 55 aircraft and structural improvements to the apron design that expand the airport’s service capabilities.
