Hilltop Super Market’s 6th Annual BBQ Cook Off gets bigger and better each year

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 2nd, Hilltop Super Market held their 6th Annual BBQ Cook-Off. The weather perfect for the event. The sweet aroma of BBQ cooking drifted along the cool breeze that day.
People drifted in and around the BBQ cooking contest all day. Hilltop was selling BBQ, ribs, etc, that everyone was enjoying.
“This is a great event. It is a good way to kick off Spring. What more American thing to do on a Saturday than to enjoy BBQ. I really enjoyed it,” said Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson.
Citizens learn about the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, protection against fraud at community meeting

Montgomery County, TN – Citizens who attending Saturday’s Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Community Information Exchange learned more about the SO and how to protect themselves from forgery and fraud.
The meeting, held at Living Hope Baptist Church, was kicked off by host Pastor Derek Smith.
“We are glad to host this meeting, and appreciate everything you all do to keep us safe,” Smith said.
Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson spoke to everyone about the duties of the Sheriff’s Office, and explained how the various sections work.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to host three community meetings

Montgomery County, TN – Sheriff John Fuson and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) will be hosting a series of three informational meetings dubbed Community Information Exchanges, to address the concerns of the community and get feedback from citizens about activity in their particular area of the county.
The first meeting will be for citizens in the eastern part of Montgomery County (zones 2 & 3, see graphic) and will be held 10:00am, Saturday, March 21st at Living Hope Baptist Church, 255 Little Hope Church Road in Clarksville, TN.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hold Community Meeting at Olivet Free Will Baptist Church

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson and several of his staff came together Thursday night to inform citizens gathered at Olivet Free Will Baptist Church. Reverend Chris Camp began the meeting by thanking the Sheriff and the MCSO for all they do.
“Anytime I go to something (the Sheriff) is always there,” Camp said, adding that he and his staff go “above and beyond” for the community.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has Grinch in custody, to serve community service at Christmas Parade

Montgomery County, TN – It has been nearly a year since the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office booked the notorious Christmas thief, Mr. Grinch, into Montgomery County Jail, and now the green menace is facing the worst possible punishment for his crimes.
“Working closely with our District Attorney’s Office and our judges, we’ve found a suitable punishment for Mr. Grinch that I’m sure will work out to everyone’s advantage,” said Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Daymar Institute to host Domestic Violence Awareness event tomorrow

Montgomery County, TN – Organizers hope an event tomorrow will help raise awareness of domestic violence and local victims.
Deputy Peggy Macias said the “Remember My Name” event was first brought to Montgomery County in October 2013, during Domestic Violence Awareness month, to Kenwood High School in memory of assistant principal Pam Cooper, who was killed by her ex-husband.
Drug Task Force to collect, dispose of unused medications

Montgomery County, TN – The 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force is again partnering with DEA to collect unused medications and dispose of them properly.
From 10:00am to 2:00pm Saturday, agents will be stationed at Walgreens, 1954 Madison Street in Clarksville to collect the medications.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to provide free child car seat safety checks

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) will be conducting free child car seat safety checks from 10:00am to 2:00pm Saturday at Kohl’s, 2840 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
Deputies will be checking to make sure your child car seat is properly installed, and as such, your child must be present for the check. Each check will take about 20 minutes.

“Sgt. Seay is a part of our MCSO family, and like any family would, we do whatever we can to get them through trying times,” said Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson. “I can only ask for the public to join us by supporting our effort to raise money for Hope as she battles this illness.”
