Montgomery County Parks announces Santa to visit Wade Bourne Nature Center on Saturdays

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department will host their second annual Saturday with Santa series for the first three Saturdays of December from 11:00am to 2:00pm in the Wade Bourne Nature Center at Rotary Park.
Each week, a Santa representing a different nationality will be at the Wade Bourne Nature Center, bringing joy to visiting children.
Santa Shedrich Webster will kick off the fun this week. Children can speak Spanish or English with Santa Catarino Guzman on December 10th and visit with Santa Roger Lewis on December 17th.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade set for Saturday, November 5th

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.
The keynote speaker is Army Command Sergeant Major (Ret) Richard A. Woodring, a combat veteran who deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, and Kosovo and has served in various assignments throughout the United States, including Washington, D.C. Woodring has a broad range of leadership experience and a litany of awards and decorations for his service to the country.
Kat & Alex and Frank Ray Downtown @ Sundown October 7th

Montgomery County, TN – This Friday, October 7th, Downtown @ Sundown will feature Kat & Alex and Frank Ray! Starting at 7:00pm,
Kat & Alex will open the stage for the evening. Kat & Alex are a husband and wife duo from American Idol. They recently signed with Sony Music in Nashville and have over 7.9 million streams on Spotify with their song, ‘How Many Times.’
Following Kat & Alex, Frank Ray will take the stage for the remainder of the night. Frank Ray’s latest single, ‘Country’d Look Good On You’ became the most added song on Country radio in 2021. Both artists have played at the Grand Ole Opry, and we are excited to see their talent at Downtown Commons!
Tyler Booth, Landon Park to play at Downtown @ Sundown this Friday

Starting at 7:00pm, opener Landon Parker will take the stage. Landon is a singer/songwriter in Nashville offering the crowd a mix of traditional country music.
Following, Tyler Booth will entertain the crowd for the reminder of the night! Growing up in Kentucky, Tyler is a bluegrass lover and singer of all things country. We are excited to welcome Tyler Booth back to the stage at Downtown Commons!
Montgomery County Parks and Recreation to hold 100 Year Celebration for South Guthrie Community Center

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Warfield School, presently known as South Guthrie Community Center, from September 8th through September 10th.
On the first day of the 100-year celebration, September 8th, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Executive Director of the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center Frank Lott will share his extensive knowledge of the architecture of Rosenwald Schools and the renovation to revive the South Guthrie Community Center.
Beatles vs Stones Downtown @ Sundown September 2nd

Montgomery County, TN – This Friday, September 2nd, 2022, Downtown @ Sundown will feature Beatles vs Stones! Starting at 7:00pm, the two greatest rock n’ roll bands of all time will face off in a once-in-a-lifetime show!
They will engage in a musical “showdown” of hit songs from the 60’s like ‘Satisfaction’ ‘Paint It, Black’ and ‘Here Comes the Sun.’ Be ready to sing and dance during this rock battle!
Nashville Symphony Concert is Scheduled at Downtown Commons September 6th

Montgomery County, TN – The prestigious Nashville Symphony will perform a free concert for the community on the lawn of the Montgomery County Downtown Commons on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022.
Beginning at 6:00pm, the community can participate in an Instrument Petting Zoo hosted by the Nashville Symphony. An Instrument Petting Zoo is a time when guests can go from instrument to instrument, touching and playing with them, just like we would with animals in a petting zoo!
Downtown @ Sundown has APSU For the Peayple Gathering, The Eagles Project this Saturday

Montgomery County, TN – This Friday, August 19th, beginning at 6:15pm, join us at a For the Peayple Gathering and hear remarks from APSU President Licari, APSU athletics, and Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett.
The APSU cheer and dance team and the Governors Own Marching Band will also be present to motivate the crowd and lead the APSU Fight Song!
Following APSU’s For the Peayple Gathering, Downtown @ Sundown will feature The Eagles Project! Starting at 7:00pm, The Eagles Project will take you back to the ’70s with top songs like Hotel California, Take It Easy, and Desperado. From incredible musicianship to flawless vocals, The Eagles Project has no competition!
Downtown @ Sundown this Friday featured Hot Lanta

Montgomery County, TN – This Friday, August 5th, 2922 Downtown @ Sundown will feature Hot Lanta, a local Allman Brothers tribute band that is excited to take you back to the back to the 1970s. With popular songs like ‘Ramblin Man’ and ‘Midnight Rider,’ the crowd is sure to have a good time!
Local food trucks will also be set up before and during the shows. Burgasm, Kadi’s Tacos and More, Heather’s Homemade Ice Cream, Johnny & June’s Italian Ice and TN Kettle Corn are all expected to be on site.
The Ace Party Band livens up Downtown Clarksville

Montgomery County, TN – The Ace Party Band played at Downtown @ Sundown Friday night, July 15th to the delight of everyone that attended. The weather was alittle warm at first, but a nice cool breeze helped cool things down.
“Tonight we have the Ace Party Band at Downtown @ Sundown. The crowd is super pumped. The band is playing a mix of genres. They have everyone up dancing and singing,” said Elizabeth Quinton Downtown Commons event planning manager.
