Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools and Montgomery County Government team up for United Way at APSU

Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and Montgomery County Government have teamed up this year to raise awareness and funding for the United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region.
On Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at 7:00pm, Austin Peay State University will host Montgomery County and CMCSS United for United Way Night during the APSU Men’s Basketball game vs. Jacksonville State.
Clarksville Historic Urban Trails Brought to Life

Montgomery County, TN – Local historian Carolyn Ferrell and Montgomery County IT ArcGIS Specialist Bryce Hester teamed up to bring three historic urban trails to life in Clarksville.
An urban trail is not a built path through natural scenery but a virtual trail that uses existing sidewalks and crosswalks to lead walkers through a route of interesting urban sights.
The trails Ferrell laid out entices walkers with open-air history lessons packed with interesting historical tidbits about Clarksville’s past.
Montgomery Central Elementary Nationally Recognized for Academic Achievement in 2017

Schools are selected either for exceptional student performance overall, for significantly closing the achievement gap between student groups, or for excellence in serving special populations of students. Workforce Essentials names Natalie McLimore as Vice President of Family Services

Clarksville, TN – Workforce Essentials Board of Directors announced the promotion of Natalie McLimore to Vice President of Family Services for Workforce Essentials.
Natalie joined the company in 2004 as a TANF Employment Career Specialist in Montgomery County and quickly rose to supervisory and management positions. Serving as the Program Director for the past six years, her hard work and dedication to performance accountability and continuous improvement has helped Workforce Essentials build an award winning program in 36 counties serving Middle and West Tennessee.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Association of Realtors® (CAR) reports that the average daily number of properties on the market for 2017 was 1548, which is a 17.7% decrease from 2016’s average (1880).
Also, for 2017, the average price of properties currently for sale was $221,000, which is 10.0% greater than 2016 ($199,000).
