Local Restaurants take part in 9th annual United We Dine

Clarksville, TN – United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region and 14 local eateries will partner once again for the 9th Annual United We Dine fundraising event on Friday, April 8th, 2022.
Each participating restaurant will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to help support the work of over 30 local United Way partner agency programs.
Montgomery County Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink opens Saturday, November 20th

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink will return for a fourth year, bringing fun times to downtown Clarksville beginning this Saturday, November 20th, 2021!
The first session kicks off at 4:00pm and then the top of every hour until 8:00pm closing at 8:45pm. There will be a raffle for the first 150 skaters to put their name in a drawing for 10 free tickets to be used throughout the ice skating season.
Between 5:00pm-5:30pm, Nashville Predators’ very own Gnash will be at the rink for a special appearance following the Austin Peay State University football game! Tater Headz will also be open with some satisfying food in the walk-up eatery beginning at 4:00pm.

Downtown Commons Movie Night to feature Halloween favorite, Hocus Pocus

Montgomery County, TN – Downtown Commons will host a Halloween Movie Night this Saturday, October 30th at 6:00pm featuring the comedic trio of witches in Hocus Pocus. This movie is free and open to the public. Bundle up and bring a blanket for this fall treat.
Tennessee Kettle Corn will be there with popcorn available for purchase and our sponsors will have pizza and candy for those in attendance until supplies last.
Chairs and blankets are welcome; however, pets, coolers, smoking/vaping, or outside alcohol will not be allowed on site.
Heart Tribute Band Barracuda plays Downtown @ Sundown on October 15th

Montgomery County, TN – Downtown @ Sundown’s last concert of the season will feature Barracuda-America’s Heart Tribute next Friday, October 15th, 2021 at Downtown Commons. Concert starts at 7:00pm.
Barracuda is America’s premier tribute to the famous rock band, Heart. The band is known for their monster vocals, brilliant musicianship and stellar performances recreating the songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s that are still loved by Heart fans around the world. Sing along as they play top hits such as: ‘Barracuda,’ ‘Crazy on You’ and many more!
Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade to be held November 6th

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 6th, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.
The keynote speaker is U.S. Army retired Colonel Vernon Lightner, who now serves as the JROTC Director of Army Instruction for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
This year’s Veterans Day parade theme is “Salute to Veterans in Education.”

Montgomery County Celebrates American Archives Month

Montgomery County, TN – In recognition of American Archives Month this October, the Montgomery County Archives Department invites the public to take a tour and learn more about the unique services they provide.
Three open house tours of the stacks, an area not normally open to the public, offer a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into caring for the history of Clarksville and Montgomery County. The tours are available on October 11th from 10:00am to 3:00pm, October 14th from 10:00am to 3:00pm, and October 23rd, from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Imagination Library of Montgomery County to hold live Facebook Storytime with Clarksville First Lady Cynthia Pitts

Clarksville, TN – Imagination Library of Montgomery County will host a free Facebook Live Storytime session Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at 6:00pm on the organization’s Facebook page.
The featured reader for the inaugural Storytime is Cynthia Pitts, First Lady of Clarksville. Mrs. Pitts will read Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors aloud during this special session. Children of all ages and parents are encouraged to log on and enjoy the story together. This story will only be available during the original live recording, so you won’t want to miss it!
