J. Clark Architecture completes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program

Montgomery County, TN – On Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program held a green ribbon cutting to welcome J. Clark Architecture & Design as the newest member of the Program. The ribbon-cutting was attended by the Green Certification Program Board Members and Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett.
Jon Clark, the owner of J. Clark Architecture & Design, is proud to be the newest member of the Program. His staff of three have worked diligently to reduce the amount of paper waste in the office.
Downtown Commons reschedules April 24th Movie Night

Montgomery County, TN – Due to the forecasted weather for this Saturday, Downtown Commons is canceling the Saturday, April 24th, 2021 Moana Movie Night and rescheduling it for September 4th.

Montgomery County, TN – The Downtown Commons is excited to start Movie Nights on April 24th, 2021 for a family fun night in Downtown Clarksville!
Come join us once a month through the month of August to watch your favorite family movies under the stars. A mobile art studio will be set up with ArtLink for hands-on activities for kids and food trucks on Main Street for treats for everyone.

Alexis Goines’ Allstate Insurance becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green certified

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program celebrated its newest member organization on January 12th with a green ribbon cutting. Alexis Goines’ Allstate Insurance office is the 133rd organization in Montgomery County to become Green Certified.
Alexis Goines is an avid recycler at home and upon opening her Allstate office in 2017 she wanted to continue her sustainability practices at work.
Downtown Commons to hold Holiday Market, December 12th

Montgomery County, TN – The Downtown Commons is hosting its first-ever Holiday Market on December 12th from 9:00am–2:00pm. The purpose of the market is to offer local small businesses and vendors an additional opportunity to engage with the community during the holiday season.
There will be a wide variety of vendors from woodworking to boutiques, something for every wish list.
Tennessee Honors Clarksville’s Roxy Regional Theatre, Charlie Cushman with “Tennessee Music Pathways” Markers

Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development and Visit Clarksville honored the Roxy Regional Theatre and Grammy award winning banjoist Charlie Cushman in his hometown with the unveiling of “Tennessee Music Pathways” markers.
Local and state leaders, Roxy supporters and the Cushman family gathered in two ceremonies to mark the special commemorations on Thursday, November 19th, 2020.
Montgomery County hires Elizabeth Quinton as New Program Event Manager for Downtown Commons

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government recently hired Elizabeth Quinton as the Downtown Commons’ Program Event Manager. She will be responsible for the management, planning and execution of events that take place at Downtown Commons as well as assisting with social media and marketing for Montgomery County.
Quinton brings with her experience in event planning and marketing most recently from Vanderbilt University.
Downtown @ Sundown features Good Rockin’ Tonight for final 2020 Concert this Friday

Montgomery County, TN – On Friday, October 16th, 2020, Good Rockin’ Tonight will perform at the Downtown Commons for the final concert of 2020. The Downtown @ Sundown concert will take place on the lawn from 7:00pm-10:00pm.
Good Rockin’ Tonight is a 1950’s Rock and Rockabilly Tribute that features professional Nashville musicians who perform the most influential songs in Rock and Roll history.
Downtown @ Sundown Concert Street Closures for October 2nd

Montgomery County, TN – On Friday, October 2nd, 2020 several streets will be closed off around the Downtown Commons for the free Jerrod Niemann concert, with opener Tyler Booth.
Country musician Tyler Booth, will be kicking off the evening as he opens for platinum-certified hitmaker country musician Jerrod Niemann. They are sure to bring first-class entertainment with a great combination of songs.
