Clarksville Montgomery County School System announces City Save Coupon Book campaign begins January 17th

Clarksville, TN – For the tenth consecutive year, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) and the CMC Education Foundation have partnered to sponsor the City Saver Education Funding Campaign that will run from January 17th – February 14th, 2020.

Clarksville, TN – For the eight consecutive year, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and the CMC Education Foundation have partnered to sponsor the City Saver Education Funding Campaign that will run from January 12th – February 9th, 2018.
Last year’s campaign raised over $200,000 for local schools and the CMC Education Foundation, with a total of $1.4 million raised over the past seven years.
During this year’s campaign, all Clarksville-Montgomery County elementary and middle school students will sell the new 2018 Clarksville City Saver coupon book, which contains thousands of dollars in savings at over 200 local favorite restaurants, attractions and retail stores.
Clarksville’s Quilts of Valor holds Sew for 22 event at Absolutely Fun Sewing

Clarksville, TN – In bring awareness to the service members and veterans that take their lives everyday, Quilts of Valor, Quilting in Clarksville held a Sew for 22 event on September 22nd, 2017 at Absolutely Fun Sewing.
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs released a study which showed that roughly 22 veterans were dying by suicide per day, or one every 65 minutes.
“We do not want to continue to see this. One life is too many.” stated Roberta Samuels, Quilts of Valor. “So we organized this day with the idea from Cinde Jones with Absolutely Fun Sewing. She offered to allow us to sew in the store.”

Clarksville Riverfest went Wild for Nashville Zoo’s Wildlife on Wheels

Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Zoo’s “Wildlife on Wheels” was at Clarksville’s Riverfest Festival on Saturday, September 6th, 2014 at the Adventure Zone. The show is a regular at Riverfest at each year and a hit with kids and adults alike.
“We love coming to Riverfest. At the Nashville Zoo, we just love being able to come out to events like this to educate young children and get them passionate about the animals,” stated BHD Keeper Anna Currie with the Nashville Zoo.

Clarksville, TN – The final day of the 2014 Riverfest Festival started like the day before but with a steady wind mitigating the worst effects of the heat.
Crowds started arriving early for the festival with the kickoff of the Riverfest Regatta, and action on the various stages beginning simultaneously.
Bruce and Karen Gundling were enjoying the sights and sounds of the festival with their son Trey. They had traveled to Riverfest all the way from Ottawa Canada.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Riverfest begins this weekend Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th, 2013. This two day festival runs Friday from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 11:00pm.
On, Friday, Christian recording group Sidewalk Prophets will be performing at 9:00pm on the First Baptist Church Stage.
Johnny T will be performing on the Gateway Realty Stage at 9:30pm Saturday. Country recording artist Phil Vassar will take the stage at 9:00pm as the headlining performer on the Miller Stage on Saturday. [Read more]
