Student Wins Car in Giveaway for Advanced Placement Success

Clarksville, TN – Saturday’s third annual Joe Heitz Pass and Go event ended with a recent Clarksville High graduate winning a brand new Toyota Yarris.
The event is held to encourage high school students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System to take more rigorous advanced placement classes. If students earn a 3, 4, or 5 on the national College Board exam, they are eligible to take part in the car and laptop computer giveaway.

Clarksville, TN – For free family fun, join Clarksville Parks and Recreation this Saturday, July 30th, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields for the Movies in the Park event for July, featuring the 2006 fantasy adventure-comedy film, “Night at the Museum,” which is rated PG.
All movies start at dusk – around 8:10pm this Saturday– with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available.

Clarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation on Friday, July 22nd, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields for the Movies in the Park event for July, featuring the 2008 comedy-drama film, “The Bucket List,” which is rated PG-13.
The Bucket List is directed by Rob Reiner and features Jack Nicholson, and Morgan Freeman; backed up by Sean Hayes, Beverly Todd, Rob Morrow, Alfonso Freeman, Christopher Stapleton, Ian Anthony Dale, Richard McGonagle, and Lauren Cohn. All movies start at dusk with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available.
When corporate mogul Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) and mechanic Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) wind up in the same hospital room, the two terminally ill men bust out of the cancer ward with a plan to experience life to the fullest before they kick the bucket. Clarksville, TN – On Saturday July 9th the Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation held Movies in the Park featuring the Kevin Costner hit Field of Dreams. Around 100 people gathered on the grass at Heritage park to enjoy the outdoor movie, fortunately the current heatwave had not yet hit our area.

Movies in the Park 2011 season to kick off May 28th

Clarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the FREE outdoor movie series at the Heritage Park Soccer fields, wrapped up its 2010 season with record attendance numbers.
The eight 2010 Movies in the Park films had an average crowd of more than 500 moviegoers per movie throughout the season. Monsters v. Aliens on May 22nd set an attendance record for the 5-year-old series with a crowd of more than 1,300 people.
