Clarksville, TN – Registration for the 8th Annual Riverfest Regatta is underway! Participants can enter as a group (up to 8 people per entry) or as an individual.
The Riverfest Regatta is not your typical boat race. The boats racing down the Cumberland River Saturday morning, September 6th, will be made of cardboard or plastic bottles and a few other approved materials.
52 Hour Riverfest Film Festival to make its debut at this year’s Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Riverfest, the two-day music and arts festival scheduled for September 5th and 6th, 2014 at McGregor Park, is excited to announce a new addition to this year’s attractions, the first annual 52-Hour Film Festival, presented by the Clarksville Department of Electricity.

Non-profit organizations could earn $500 as Riverfest volunteers

Clarksville, TN – Is your non-profit organization looking to earn some cash? The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is offering a $500.00 cash prize to the non-profit organization that provides the most hours volunteered at Riverfest 2014.
Volunteers will be helping with soft drink sales on September 5th and 6th at McGregor Park. Any interested organizations should contact Bethany Benjamin at 931.645.7476 or bethany.benjamin@cityofclarksville.com to participate.

Clarksville, TN – Riverfest is excited to announce that the multi-platinum CMA and ACM award winning recording artist Tracey Lawrence will be the featured headliner at the 2014 Festival.
Tracey Lawrence will take the main stage as the headlining event on Saturday, September 6th, 2014. The concert is free and open to the public.

Clarksville, TN – At the City of Clarksville’s July 3rd Independence Day celebration Mayor Kim McMillan gave the surprise announcement that the headliner for the 2014 Riverfest celebration would be country music superstar Tracy Lawrence.
Easily one of the most recognizable voices in Country music with songs such as “Paint Me A Birmingham,” “Time Marches On,” “Alibis,” and “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.” The entertainer has enjoyed twenty-two songs on the Billboard top ten charts with eighteen number one singles, selling over thirteen million albums.
Clarksville kicks off 4th of July with seventh annual Independence Day Celebration, July 3rd, 2014

Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, July 3rd, thousands of Clarksvillians made their way to Liberty Park for the City of Clarksville’s seventh annual Independence Day Celebration. Attendees enjoyed live music, drinks, and food such as funnel cakes, hotdogs, and other festival favorites.
The evening got started with the presentation of the colors and Staff Sergeant Scott Letourneau of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment singing the National Anthem. Musical entertainment was provided by local performers Eight O’Five Jive and the 101st Airborne Division rock band Cover Down. “This is great!,” said Staff Sgt. Aaron Fast, the band leader when I asked him what he thought about the turn out. “We love coming out and playing for the public. There are thousands of people out here, and it’s really really cool. We play for soldiers all the time but it’s great to get out in the public and have a chance to play for a community that shows their support for Fort Campbell and the soldiers like Clarksville does.”

Clarksville, TN – The Riverfest Regatta, presented by U.S. Bank, is not your typical boat race. The boats racing down the Cumberland River at Saturday morning, September 7th were made of cardboard or plastic bottles along with a few other approved materials.
Nineteen teams competed not only for bragging rights, but trophies were awarded to the first, second, and third place teams in each division.

Clarksville, TN – Every year, Clarksville’s Riverfest Tour d’Art exhibits feature the talents from artists across the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.
There are three divisions; the Senior (Downtown Artists Co-op), the High School (Customs House Museum) and the Amateur and Professional Divisions (Smith-Trahern Mansion).
After hundreds of artists had their works of art on display at various locations in downtown Clarksville, then judged by artist Dane Carder, winners were awarded at the Tour d’Art Receptions, Friday, September 6th, 2013. [Read more]
