Recycled Fashion Show to make its debut at this year’s Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Riverfest, the two-day music and arts festival scheduled for September 7th-8th, 2012 at McGregor Park, is excited to announce a new addition to this year’s attractions, the first annual Riverfest Recycled Fashion Show, sponsored by Bi-County Waste Management.
The show is scheduled to take place Saturday, September 8th, 2012 at 4:00pm on the Blue Cross Blue Shield Stage and is intended to educate the general public about recycling in a fun and exciting way. [Read more]
The 2012 Riverfest Festival to be held on September 7th and 8th

Clarksville, TN – Join the City of Clarksville, Budweiser, and Agero along the banks of the Cumberland River as they celebrate Clarksville’s river heritage at the 25th annual Riverfest Celebration, September 7th and 8th, 2012. This FREE, two day music and arts festival features four stages of a variety of local, regional and nationally-known entertainers, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.
The music kicks off Friday night at 5:00pm with a great lineup of Christian performers on the Mary’s the Music Store Stage to include MIKESCHAIR who will perform at 9:00pm. Eliminator and Little Queen will take to the Bud Light Stage on Friday night, followed by the ultimate Journey tribute band, Chain Reaction.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation seeking Riverfest 2012 Volunteers

Clarksville, TN – Why not celebrate the 25th anniversary of Clarksville Riverfest by giving back? Clarksville Parks and Recreation is currently seeking volunteers to help with soft drink sales, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Adventure Zone children’s area as well as the Cornhole Tournament on September 7th and 8th at McGregor Park.
Volunteers may sign up for the timeslot(s) that best fit their schedule and availability at the Hands on Nashville website. The process is simple, visit www.hon.org and search “Riverfest.” Volunteers may then select the area in which they would like to volunteer and then select the timeslot occurrence that best fits their schedule. Riverfest announces Kip Moore as 2012 headliner

Clarksville, TN – Riverfest is excited to announce that the singer-songwriter Kip Moore will be the featured headliner at the 2012 Festival. Kip Moore will take the stage at 9:00pm as the main event on Saturday, September 8th, 2012. The concert is free and open to the public.
Kip Moore’s song “Somethin’ Bout a Truck” from his debut album, “Up All Night,” has claimed the No. 1 spot for the second consecutive week on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, making him the first new country artist in four years to have a debut album’s first single go No. 1 for multiple weeks. It has been certified gold and sold more than 700,000 digital singles.
Aspire to Stardom Auditions to be held in March

Singers and dancers from all across Tennessee and Kentucky will be vying for a coveted spot at the annual Rivers and Spires showcase held each year in Historic Downtown Clarksville.
Gateway to Stardom gets Reprieve

Clarksville, TN – The Gateway to Stardom Talent Show that was rained out at Riverfest has been given a new performance date and venue.
On Saturday, October 22nd from 1:00pm to 7:00pm on Strawberry Alley, you will see all of the talent contestants vying for the $2,500 cash prize awarded by Daymar Institute. National Talent Scouts will be part of the judges for these talented young performers. [Read more]
