City of Clarksville brings free 90 minute parking to Downtown Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Beginning on May 1st, 2012 and running through the end of June 2012, the City of Clarksville will offer free parking for 90 minutes on some downtown streets.
The 90 minute parking areas will be located on the 100 block of Franklin Street, Strawberry Alley and portions of Second Street. [Read more]
Downtown Clarksville Association announces the May First Thursday ArtWalk

Clarksville Downtown Market to Open May 19th

Clarksville, TN – When the 2012 Clarksville Downtown Market opens on Saturday, May 19th, approximately 60 vendors will be on hand to offer local fresh produce, baked goods, home décor, seasonal flowers and more. The market will also feature local artists and musicians.
The Clarksville Downtown Market will be open from 8:00am to 1:00pm every Saturday through October 19th on Public Square.
For two years in a row, Clarksville’s Downtown Market, has been voted No. 1 in the state of Tennessee, in America’s Favorite Farmers Markets contest, which was hosted by American Farmland Trust. [Read more]
Road Closures announced for Rivers and Spires Festival

Clarksville, TN – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 10th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville.
Also, starting the morning of April 19th, parking will be restricted in some downtown areas. There will be orange “No Parking” bags placed over meters in the restricted parking areas. [Read more]
Rivers and Spires Festival Bringing Fireworks To Its 10 Year Celebration

Clarksville, TN – The 10th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival, held April 19th-21st in Downtown Clarksville, is only a couple short weeks away and this year there will be a few special additions to help celebrate this milestone birthday.
Imagine seeing the Festival in a whole new way. Fly through the air with the greatest of ease if you are daring enough to strap into the zip line that will soar over Strawberry Alley. Clarksville, TN – As a manager of a downtown business, I get asked all the time about my shop, and other downtown shops and why we choose to be part of a downtown community. Why did we decide to be here versus a strip mall, independent building or in the mall. Well, I know what the owner of ARTifacts, Paige King, would say. But I can’t say for sure what the reasoning for the other business owners in downtown would say.
So I decided it was time to ask! I thought it would be a good idea to ask all the members of the Downtown Clarksville Association (DCA) all the questions we get asked daily and share them with you here.
