The Clarksville Independence Day Celebration kicked off July 3rd at 6:00pm at McGregor park.. The free festivities includes music from local favorite Tina Brown. The conclusion of the event was a large fireworks display.

The City of Clarksville held their annual Independence Day Celebration yesterday. The festivities kicked off with the presentation of the colors by the Clarksville Police Department Colorguard. Tina Brown kicked off the entertainment followed by McAllister’s Crossroads both are local favorites. Joe Diffie to Perform at the City of Clarksville’s Independence Day Celebration

The City of Clarksville and Aetna Insurance are celebrating our nation’s independence this year with the fourth annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 3rd at McGregor Park.
The event will be filled with food, fun and entertainment for the entire family. Activities begin at 6:00p.m.
Performers Tina Brown and McAllister’s Crossroads will provide live music throughout the evening, followed by country music artist, Joe Diffie. The night will end with a spectacular fireworks finale, the largest in Clarksville. Again, this year’s fireworks display will feature the popular and exciting water pyrotechnics.

Syd Hedrick and the Blues News performed on Friday evening at the Jammin’ In the Alley concert event held monthly on Strawberry Alley in Historic Downtown Clarksville. Hedrick a local Realtor heads up the six person band the Blues News. The weather which had been an issue at the 2010 Kick-off Jammin in the Alley concert featuring McAllister’s Crossroads, could not have been any better.
Benefit concert to raise money for flood victims

A Flood Relief Benefit Concert will be held at Beachaven Winery this Saturday, May 22nd, 2010 from 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm. The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce has organized the benefit concert to assist the businesses and employees of businesses affected by the recent flood. The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce has organized a benefit concert to assist the victims of the recent flood. “People Helping People” will take place Saturday, May 22nd, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 9:30 pm at Beachaven Winery & Vineyards. The concert is free and open to the public, however donations are welcome.
“Clarksville is a great community but in times of hardship, that is when we really start to shine,” says James Chavez, President and CEO of the Economic Development Council. “Neighbors are supporting each other, strangers are coming to the rescue and people are helping people.
