Clarksville, TN – The Bikers Who Care will host their 31st Annual Leslie W. Watson Toy Run and Benefit Party this weekend, September 14th-16th, at the Clarksville Speedway (1600 Needmore Road).
The weekend will include nightly bands, Street Bike Drags, Bike Show, Tatoo Contest, and Bikini Contests. Camping is allowed, and there will be plenty of vendors as well as food and drink.
Curves Tiny Town to celebrate third birthday by raising money for the Fort Campbell Fisher House

Clarksville, TN – The Tiny Town Curves location is celebrating its third birthday by raising money for the Fort Campbell Fisher House through various competitions and special events on Tuesday, September 18th. Tiny Town Curves will open its doors to the community for a day of festivities while raising money and awareness for a cause that is important to so many of its members.

Montgomery County, TN – Tiny Town Animal Clinic is partnering with Montgomery County Animal Control and Adoption Services to offer free spay and neutering to all cats at Animal Control during the month of September.
Cats will be transported to Dr. Leslie Burchett’s office, located at 1815 Tiny Town Road, for the free surgery and then available for adoption at Animal Control for $37.00. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – New Beginnings Hair Salon owner, Shalonda Walker, invested her time and skills into three LEAP youth interns to help with a new beginning by providing a free hairstyle makeover.
“When Whitney told me about the struggles that the girls in the program had to overcome, my heart immediately went out to them. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to encourage them to keep making positive strides” said Shalonda Walker.
Hazelwood Elementary School Principal Selected

Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County Director of Schools Mike Harris today announced that Mason Bellamy, Ed.D. will serve as principal of Hazelwood Elementary.
He replaces Rosanne Sanford who was named principal of the Carmel Elementary, which opens in August 2012.
Dr. Bellamy has served as assistant principal at West Creek Elementary for the past year and a half and has five years teaching experience at Sango Elementary. He earned his doctorate in education from Trevecca Nazarene University where he also earned his Master’s in teaching. He completed his B.A. in political science at the University of Kentucky.
Hazelwood, located on Tiny Town Road, serves 800 students.

Riverside Drive Location re-opening date still undetermined
Exit 1 has been undergoing a serious boom in recent years. It started with the addition of Great Escape Theatre at the Intersection of Trenton Road and Tiny Town Road, since then new businesses have been attracted to the area. The newest being on June 30th, 2010 with the opening of the Clarksville area’s seventh Wendy’s Restaurant located at 1824 Tiny Town Road.
The designers of the restaurant planned a return to the casual elegance that Dave Thomas intended for the franchise when he opened the original Wendy’s in Columbus Ohio back in 1969. Their newest restaurant features warm earth tones, a carpeted dining room, tiled floors, and textured two toned walls, frosted glass partitions, tin roofed ceilings in the restrooms, and the Dave Thomas memorial wall. There is a nice comfortable atmosphere which you can feel right away when you step into the dining room.
