Visitors are invited to take a facility tour; participate in fitness activities to include volleyball, basketball, and the silver fitness program; learn about upcoming events and register-to-win prizes. The first 40 visitors to each Center will receive a free gift bag!

Friends of Rotary Park to hold 1st Annual Camp-Out Experience June 27th and 28th

Friends of Rotary ParkClarksville, TN – Friends of Rotary Park (FORP) is hosting their first annual camping experience at Rotary Park. The camp-out will be from June 27th 10:00am to June 28th check out time 10:00am.

There will be a grilled hot dog dinner, along with a bonfire and several families games such as: Racket Ball, Volleyball, Jenga, and Connect Four. We are also having a family fun tug-a-war contest.

This is a fundraiser for FORP Friends of Rotary Park and the deadline to sign your family up is June 12th.

Spring Fling at Rotary Park to be held April 6th

2013 Friends of Rotary Park Spring FlingClarksville, TN – Friends of Rotary Park, D.J. Ray Entertainment and Gateway Tire and Service will be hosting Spring Fling at Rotary Park on April 6th from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

There will be activities for the whole family. Horseshoe and Washer Pits, Crayon and Play-Doh Stations, Bouncy Houses, Sand Volleyball, Pool Noodle Activity Games, Food and Music. There will be a drawing for a $200.00 gift certificate from Gateway Tire and Service.

All proceeds go right back into Rotary Park in playground renovations and hiking trail improvements.

Clarksville Athletic Club completes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – The latest business to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified is the Clarksville Athletic Club (CAC), located at 220 Dunlop Road. A Green Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on Wednesday, June 20th to celebrate their green initiatives and completion of the program.

APSU to participate in National Night Out

August 1, 2010

Austin Peay State UniversityFor one evening in August, Austin Peay State University will be among others across the country participating in an event that emphasizes crime prevention information and techniques.

The APSU Department of Public Safety will sponsor National Night Out from 7:00pm-9:00pm, Tuesday, August 3rd on the lawn in front of the Dunn Center and the Intramural Field on the main campus. The event is open to the Clarksville-Montgomery County community.

“With school getting ready to start, this is a great time for parents and their children to learn about the community services available to them when they feel they might need it,” said Sgt. Elizabeth Genthner with Department of Public Safety at APSU. “This is an opportunity for local organizations to get their information to the citizens, and for citizens to get any information they need.”

“Senior Saturday” at the Kleeman Community Center this Saturday

Clarksville Parks and RecreationJoin us this Saturday, July 31st from 3:00pm to 5:00pm for “Senior Saturday” at the Kleeman Community Center located at 166 Cunningham Lane. The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s invites those young at heart to come out and take part in various games and fun to include pickle ball, badminton, volleyball, and much more. This event is free and open to seniors ages 50 and up.
