Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County School System has appointed two veteran administrators to middle school principal positions effective for the upcoming school year.

Current New Providence Middle School Principal Laura Barnett will serve as the new principal at Rossview Middle School. Richview Middle School Assistant Principal Laura Boss will take over at Northeast Middle School.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – Rossview High School assistant principal Dr. Schanda Banister-Doughty will be promoted to the principalship at Rossview, following the retirement of Frank Myers at the end of this school year.

Doughty, who earned her doctorate of education from Lipscomb University, has served at Rossview as a teacher and administrator for 14 years.

New APSU scholarship honors victim of carbon monoxide poisoning

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – At Kenwood High School on Tuesday, 18-year-old Skylar Hughes presented Austin Peay State University President Alisa White with a $25,000 check.

The money, which Skylar helped raise, will fund the Kathryn Watson Over Endowment—a new scholarship, named for Skylar’s former teacher, that will be awarded each year to a Kenwood graduate majoring in education at APSU.

CMCSS announces Administrative Appointments

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – Dr. Bryan Johnson, who is serving as director of high schools for CMCSS, has been named Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Johnson, who earned his doctorate from Trevecca Nazarene University, served as principal of Northwest High School for two years and was assistant principal of West Creek High School for two years.
